"BlackMac" is an asphalt cutback meaning it's exactly made up of the same material of the asphalt that's holding your pavement together, it's just "cutback" with a solvent to lower the viscosity so it can be sprayed out of a sealer system and absorb/ penetrate into the asphalt thus reintroducing oils back into the asphalt effectively reversing the process of oxidation meaning your old dried up asphalt is now more flexible and the process of cracking and ravelling is slowed. On top of the rejuvenation benefits it also seals the pavement against intrusion of air, water, chemicals, the sun, rain, ice and snow.
